Don't mean to rain on your parade but using strapping tape to temporarily attach the deck to hull makes sense as there is no tension between the two halves. If there was a tape that stuck well enough to hold panels under tension then you would probably have an adhesive mess to clean up or parts of wood missing when removing tape. wire works
