The Coho deck does look neat. On a related tangent,I'm just finishing up a very skinny boat(19") with a 12"radius deck beam,your Ches. is 16" radius deck beam. If your goal was skinnier boat with footroom I think it wouldn't be a problem to bend 3mm on a 22" wide boat, not sure about that 12"radius beam though (13"?),my next North Bay's (20") going to have a tighter curve for more foot room. It makes for some major planing of shear clamps.
