Have just finished stripping the hull of a design of my own. Had some problems with glue holding where two strips meet right behind a cheater strip. I hesitate to use epoxy to fill--too hard to sand. I've never found a wood filler that could take the flexing I expect during sanding. Any suggestions quite welcome.
Also, in thinking ahead to the deck, I'm looking for a flexible white wood (to contrast with redwood) that will accept bending to a 6" radius when cut to 1/4" thickness and 1/8" width. I have easily available to me maple, oak, poplar and of course the lumberyard pines, firs, etc. Ash would also be a possibility though relatively costly. Any comparisons or information relative to these criteria would be much appreciated. Thanks, Tom
