> Any thoughts on how best to proceed? I have had satisfactory results removing excess epoxy with a flexible cabinet scraper. You need to have a well burnished edge( one that removes a curl of wood rather than just dust).
Sanding can be a problem because the areas that are not coated with epoxy are abraded more quickly than the epoxy coated areas, resulting in a hollow.
