Hi Don,

If you've spent much time on this bbs, you know that topics rarely diverge from kayak building (if you're new, scan through the archives to see what I mean). In fact, new postings generally fall into two categories. Either, "Hey, I've got a question about kayak building" or "Hey, I just finished my kayak, here's some pictures." It really doesn't vary too much from there.

In fact, for an un-moderated bbs, I think we stay suprisingly on-track. There's an unusual sense of communitity on this bbs where people genuinely want to help other members of the "family". There's a real openness here. Perhaps it's the personality type that is common to those who are interested in building boats, but who knows? But, when there is a spurious post that's off topic, like Marcelo losing his fingertip, we're all interested and all concerned.

So, don't worry that the bbs is going down the toilet. It will recover momentarily.
