I'm on the final stages of my CLC Ches 18 and need some help. In finish sanding, I've applied several coats of epoxy to the deck, sanding in between with 120 and 220 on a ROS. My result at this point is very smooth but with an uneven color. My goal in sanding is to get out all of the epoxy shine but some places are sanded more and are whiter in color resulting in a "blotchy" look. Should I apply another epoxy coat and get a more even color before varnishing or will the varnish even out the color? With all the work I've got into the boat the finishing process has me concerned and any other tips would also be appreciated. I intend to varnish the deck with Spar Varnish and paint the hull with Brightsides. Thanks. This BBS has been a great help on this project and the boat looks great (for a rookie).
