On my Patuxent, I just used wood flour, as described in the directions. It went on easily, and has plenty of strength. I'm glad I did, otherwise I would have run out of cab-o-sil.
Also, don't use too much epoxy on your fillets. It holds a lot better than one might expect. I found a tongue depresser worked well for shaping the fillets - they also make great stirring sticks. Also do your best to remove any excess epoxy (drips) before it dries - it will save you a lot of sanding later.
And the instructions about mixing it to the consistency of peanut butter - creamy, not chunky.
