Thanks for the reply, although too late... I have the book "The Kayak Shop" by Chris Kulczycki. I simply found a shape that I liked in a similar sized kayak in his book and used that. It came out rather nice. I am now trying to join the deck to the hull. Nick said that this would be difficult with this design, and he wasn't lying!
