OK, I just finished going through the current bulletin board (haven't yet started on either of the two archives yet). I wanted to thank everyone for the great tips and information you've posted.

I still haven't gotten my Coho kit yet, so I don't know the exact recommended steps, nor have read through the manual, but thought I'd get a head start with some simple questions. Most questions are about minimizing the need to sand!

BTW, I haven't seen any listing of FAQ's or VITT's (Very Important Tips and Techniques), so some of these questions may have already been answered.

Ques 1 - Is it necessary/advisable to sand the plywood while its still flat, before beginning the stitching process?

Ques 2 - Should I apply tape on both sides of epoxy seams (e.g., on both sides of the butt-joints) to minimize the amount of epoxy that gets on the surface (as opposed to in the joint itself) - and, if so, what type of tape (duct, strapping, masking)

I'm sure I'll have lots more questions - thanks in advance for your help!
