Great Work! Keep those photos coming! I'll be out of the pix biz for a while, my plans (Laughing Loon, and I've emailed Rob and he said "yes") call for glassing the hull before flipping it over and starting the deck. So, I'll follow that routine.

I have imported some samples of cedar, spruce, and black walnut that I varnished, into my paint program. From these, I have texturized "pseudo-strips" of different widths that I can drag around my screen and create different deck patterns with. If it works out OK (and it seems to be), I will upload the strip and geometric samples up to my web site for everyone to download. Right now, I'm playing with round insets into the strips. Some look pretty cool.

Anyway, I've included a screen shot of some "artificially created" cedar and spruce strips in my paint program, where I'm dragging them around. Keep in mind, this is all computer generated, this is not a photo - - Although it may be soon, when I find something worth keeping and actually build it . . . Besides, I wouldn't want to show TOO much before my deck is finished . . . 8-)
