Strangely enough, plain masking tape works and the epoxy doesn't stick to it. Thicken some epoxy with wood flour (the ubiquitous peanut-butter thickness), put tape on the inside, fill the hole, and tape over the outside to prevent it from running out til cured. Good luck.
