I'm in the process of starting to skin a W. Greenland type. I reasearched coatings quite a bit. What some people do is use thompson's water seal or other similar deck waterproofing chemicals like that. They spray theinside with one of those garden sprayers with the long wand. Most of those Deck preservatives are linseed oil, a thinner and wax with a mildue addative.
