I do. The value of stability was driven home to me recently. My uncle and I paddled out the Golden Gate and around the Marin headlands. I was in a Patuxent 19.5, my uncle in a Pygmy Osprey Standard. We encountered substantial confused waters including haystacks. Neither of us ended up in the drink, but whereas my sixty-five year old relative had a lovely time, I was exhausted from constant bracing and didn't enjoy things much. Just being able to stay upright isn't enough.
