Hi Berkeleyc, when i first launched my pat17 from under the Golden Gate with a friend I also was a bit fatigued, she tried it out and had a good time. So paddler perceptions can differ. Since then my bracing skills have improved quite a bit. The CH16 and Standard Pygmy have similar ultimate stability figures, although the rest of their stability and handling characteristics are quite different.
