Hey Butch,

I do cove and bead on the hull and regular strips on the deck. I find that cove and bead can sometimes hide a gap that only appears after sanding the thin wall of the cove off. I find this a fair tradeoff though on the hull because it makes it so much easier through the curved areas and on strips that twist a lot throughout it's length. Just make sure to clamp it tight between stations. Once you get good at beveling though it goes pretty quick, i'm just a little lazy.

On the deck however, which is usually much flatter, there aren't as many rolling bevels you need to do. Plus i don't want any suprise gaps opening up on the deck after sanding so i always bevel the strips in this area.
