Intending to build a stripper some day (working on a S&G right now) I've been following the tips on technique closely ... Which is the preferred method for scarfing a strip? Not sure how to describe my question, so how about this -
When holding a strip in front of you horizontally, with an 8:1 scarf on one end, and the 3/4" face of a 1/4" by 3/4" strip is facing you, do you see
1) a 6" angle cut ? or 2) a 3/4" vertical cut, because the 6 inches of taper is on the face of the strip?
Is the jig for #1 or #2?
Thanks for your comments - always appreciative of the advice on this board!
John
