Jim, you got it exactly right. The building part is as much fun as using the finished boat. I've built a redbird canoe, a guillimot kayak, a Rangely lakes fishing boat, and am now into the grandaddy of them all...a barrelback mahogany inboard runabout. Probably take me two years.....I wish I had the discipline to post photos.....could actually use some help faring the stem.....anyone in the boston area want to lend some advice???
