I have found that mixing 3 oz. is enough for a fill coat on either the hull or the deck. If I mix more than that I get the runs. I have fill both the deck and hull this way and have no runs (yet). The rag sounds good but it seems as though you have to be leaving alot of epoxy in the rag. (weigh it befor and after) With a thin foam roller you can cover with 3 oz. It makes you spread it thin. It does take 5 or 6 coats though.
