I do the same as Jim, 3 oz. in a disposable paint tray and rolled on with a West's foam roller. I tip off with a good foam brush (grey foam, wood handle). It only takes 10-15 minutes start to finish per coat but as Jim said, it takes 5-6 coats to fill the weave. I think the extra time is worth it. There are no runs and no sanding or scrapeing necessary. The last coat is ready for sanding. I like this method because the multiple very thin coats make for a very evenly filled weave so when I start sanding I have less chance of cutting into te glass. Works for me!!
