Welcome Aboard Simon!

Glad to hear you've started construction. I remember the feeling well - One day I was thinking wistfully about building a kayak, the next I was cutting out stations! At that point you're committed . . .

One big assist in stapleless construction that I kind of glossed over on my web pages is the use of small plywood clamps. Many stapleless builders use these in several different designs and with differing attachment means. I will go back and get a few clear photos of what I made, and how I used them - Then I'll add these photos to my hull page. I made two for each station, so I could clamp 2 strips at a time. They allow you to twist the strip as necessary, hold the strip tight to the form, and also press it tight to the adjacent strip all simultaneously without the use of wedges.

Congratulations, please take pictures and share your progress here if you can.

Best Regards, Spidey
