I agree that Saris racks are better -- I had one on my previous car, but since Thule worked with VW to put special mounting points in the gutters so that you don't have to clamp in the door openings, I went with Thule. It's a shame, because Saris had very quick-change, locked components, but it's impossible to find anything but Thule and Yakima at stores anymore...
