Thanks for all the responses. I've been thinking about what to do with the milky spots for the last 5 months. I decided to try and sand them down but not cut into the glass. I also decided to remove all glass in areas where I didn't get a good cure. To bad the hardener injection system won't work.
Yesterday I removed most of the uncured area. Today I started sanding. In the process of sanding down milky areas I discovered more uncured areas. Doesn't this sound like a great way to spend the day?! So, 5 1/2 hours and 12 sanding disk later I've removed or close to removed most of the glass on the outer boat shell. The uncured areas gum up sandpaper real fast, so I used cabinet scrapers for those areas. I now understand the concept of elbow grease.
I did a wipe down with denatured alcohol to see where I might have problems later on. Its looking pretty good. Another couple of hours preparation and I should be able to wet the boat down again with epoxy.
I'll be doing a few things differently this time. I'm aiming for temp in the 60 to 70's range with a high pressure so as to keep down the humidity. I'm also using 60 inch wide 6 oz cloth. I'm hoping to drape slightly diagonal.
As soon as I get the new fiberglass on, I'll post some images. I hope my experience will help someone else in the future.
PS My epoxy is System 3. In their application book it warns about using the medium speed hardener below 55`F. Can cause milky or poorly cured areas.
