Buy a copy of the Gougeon Brothers on Boat Construction. You can find it on their Wset Sytem web site under Educational Literature, in their Products Guide section. I think that this book is an excellent reference for all wood/epoxy work.
: I am in the middle of building a cold-molded inboard mahogany runabout. The
: frame is just about done, and is ready for the planking, which consists of
: 3 layers of 1/8" mahogany/ocume plywood and an exterior layer of 1/8
: in solid mahogany veneer. The layers are are oriented at 90 degrees to
: each other, glued with epoxy.
: My question, never having done this before is how to best eliminate voids
: between the layers when gluing? Anybody done this before who can offer
: some helpful tips? Thanks, and I promise not to run down any paddlers!!!
