I've got a dilemna

Today I called around to the local lumber yards... I found out that the only thing I can get anyewhere that is 1/8 th inch is hardboard or pegboard... hardoard=masonite but masonite is only 5 dollars a sheet. the boat I'm buuilding is an experiment... will masonite work at all? if not what should I do? 14 inch ply won't bend the way I need. thanks DAVE
