You can mount a rudder block after the shells are bonded. Rudder is very good as a trim tab in difficult conditions. My wife likes the rudder too. She may use it as a crutch but she doesn't need 'shoulder tendonitis' crutches as a result. Check out the link below to see how I approach this on my kayaks. Vaclav
