Seals are being commercially hunted in Canada and skins are available. I could find you a source, but there are complications. As I understand it, you can't import them into the US. The bigger problem, though, is the time constraints you would face. The Inuit apparently made little effort to preserve the skins, counting on the cold water to keep them for the one season they got out of a covering. If you use traditional procedures in the south, you would have trouble with durability, and probably odor.
