: Sounds interesting. Ross gave me an idea that he's looked at, somewhat
: similar, using wood to make a captive mount for the rails. I'm playing
: with a variation of the concept now. Position the rails along the hull,
: glue some wood strips along both sides of the rail that match the height
: of the bottom section - about 7/16". With T-nuts or inserts imbedded
: in these strips, you could then clamp the rail in place between the strips
: with some thin pieces of wood - or aluminum - that overlap onto the
: "lip" of the rail. A stop block glued in place at the forward
: end would keep the rail from sliding when you pushed on the pads. Now,
: I've just got to work out the details.

Exactly the same idea. make part of the stop block insert into the lower pt of the channel. Then the back is captured. Drill thro the front and the channel and drop a pin, nail or screw thru for the front. Fixed, but removable.
