When we build the "damn near" flawless boat. I modestly post this just as I finished wetting out the cloth on a customers 17' Mandan model. Everything went without a hitch from the cutting of the strips to the laying of the cloth. I only hope that the inside goes as well as the outside LOL. I used RAKA to wet out the cloth and was surprised what the difference between winter in ND and almost summer in ND makes on the epoxy. Having everything including the wood, air, and epoxy at relatively the same 70'ish temperature really makes a difference. I may drop S3's clear coat from the "must have" to the "if you got the money to spare" category. I built 7 canoes this last winter and they all turned out nice.. the customers were thrilled, I was happy, my banker was happy but this canoe I just finished is a feather in my cap. The difference really is in the details and nothing can replace experience but if you take your time at each step making sure it is correct before moving on to the next you'll be please with the outcome. I'll try to get some pics in the near future. Doug
