: Does anyone know of a stitch and glue kit available that would carry me (@230
: pounds, 6'6" tall, size 15 shoe), and up to 200 pounds of gear? Any
: tips would be greatly appreciated!!! p/s... you'd laugh if you knew what I
: paddled on whitewater!!!:)
take a boat you like... scale up all the lines... and you have a boat for you... thats the way the eskimos did it right? as wide as your hips plus 2 fists and as long as 4 arm leinghths... you'd end up with about a 22 foot boat I ould expect... maybe a little more... and it would work well most likely. if you want some plans to go off of take a look at doug garmens page http://www.personal.kent.edu/~mgarmon/plans.html
otherwise take a look at designing your own boat... not too hard with a little research... you could use g carlsons hulls program you xcan get it at www.carlsondesign.com
hope this helps
