My poly beater is black and therefor more susceptibel to uv, so I bought one of those poly tarps, wrapped it around the yak, cut abt 4in overlap, and duct taped it together. When travelling or in the sun I just pull it on. May be a big prob if just left to bake in the sun - so be careful if poly etc.
