I didn't try System 3, but Pygmy recommended Interlux Brightsides 1-step paint (white), and I was really pleased with the results. I first put down two coats of Interlux primer, sanded most of it off, and then rolled on 2 coats of the Brightsides. With careful technique of rolling on small amounts with a thin foam roller, and then tipping with a foam brush, I got a nice, smooth finish.
: I am planning to paint the hull and varnish the deck of my Arctic Tern when
: construction is complete. I'll be using Z-Spar Flagship on the deck and
: have been looking at the S3 water-based topcoat for the hull. They claim
: it is easier to use and less toxic than other 2 part lpu products like
: AWLGRIP amd Interlux but still very durable. Can anybody out there share
: their experience with the S3 lpu paint? Does it perform as advertised?
: Thanks
