: I was at the Eddyline kayak store in Anacortes, WA today and saw that they
: are using closed cell foam for their bulkheads. I'm building a Pygmy
: Osprey Std and thought this would be easier to work with than the wood
: bulkheads.
: Does anyone know where I order this type of foam? There's also a special type
: of glue that you use to attach it, same question about where I might order
: that? Lastly, has anyone done this? It just doesn't seem that it would be
: as watertight as a glassed wooden bulkhead.
: Thanks in advance,
: Brion
acctually it willl be water tight enough... a neoprene skirt leaks more then any bulkhead... you can order the stuff from joh r sweets... www.johnrsweet.com just cut it a little big... nd push it in there really hard... then put a little sealant around the outside. it will be sealled good enouh.
