Hi Tom,

When you start trying to get the glass to lay flat and adhere to the surface with no air underneath you are going to be glad to have a 1/4 inch rounded edge. What I learned (for my next boat) is that in the gap where the panels meet you can build up a fat bead of thickened epoxy and round that off to get a nice transition from panel to panel for the glass. That way you are not reducing the wood as much to get the rounded edge and you end up with straighter lines.
