That would give your cockpit alone about 800 pounds of displacement, which seems quite a lot. The figures I've seen for an entire 18 foot kayak are closer to 500 or 600 pounds. That would be about 60 to 70 gallons for the entire boat. If you have some sealed bulkheads, or float bags, or solid foam flotation both fore and aft of the cockpit then you'll probably only get 40 to 50 gallons in the cockpit. That's half of what you were figuring on, so your calculations will change. You'll clean out the cockpit in half the time you estimated, and your battery life (measured in number of times you can pump out the cockpit) will be roughly double your previous estimate. These factors are all in your favor, particularly if they point toward a smaller, cheaper or lighter pump and/or battery.
