Hi Ron,

Mystic is a bigger museum than St Michael's. You could spend alot of time just seeing it. Especially if you were doing any research at the library or had a particular interest in any of the exhibits. However, the best time to really see the museum is on a weekday when the regular staff is all there, actually doing boat building and restoration. I haven't been on a weekday, but my father has and he had a totally different experience of Mystic Seaport than I did. He had a long talk with the guys building the Amistad a couple of years ago.
