As a final note I just received the plans and the offsets are exactly the same as they are given in the magazine. I was mistaken below in that I meant the sheer panel instead of the bilge panel. I guess this slight uneven bump in the line is normal and actually the line changes from 1/16" increments to 1/4" after the 3rd offset. Anybody else experiences with this?

: about 1/16" a couple of feet from the end and then suddenly went to
: 1/8" the next foot and then back to 1/16". When sighting down
: the line there is a "bump" at this change affecting the fairness
: of the curve. This may explain your chines being off.
