There are some really nice kayaks on this board, and while mine is not so artistic it is a different style so I'll post it.
This is the single version of Tsunami from the David Hazen book. 16' x 22" the coaming was supposed to be 13" high but turned out closer to 15" I think because after glassing the deck it spread out an inch or so while we went sailing for the weekend, check the link and you'll see the spanish windlass contraption needed to pull it together and making it taller than it should be. Has this happened to anyone else? Used pine lattice strips ripped in half on a band saw. Finished weight is 55lbs, tracks better than my Yare with about the same stability. Did'nt bother with hatches, we don't take many long trips and just put the cooler or whatever behind us. Pretty fun to build and now I really admire the boats posted here.
