Good day! We all apreciate how much time is spent building our little craft, therefore I'd like to purchase some insurance or make certain my homeowners' insurance covers such a loss. Any ideas as to how much a strip kayak is worth? Not a fun thing to think about until it happens to you. Last November after having just completed a 14 hour overtime shift I got to the parking lot soon enough to see my truck and camper drive down the street without me. My truck was recovered days later with not much left on it and my camper was gone. It had taken me several hundred hours to build and someone thought it nice enough to steal. As I had only a few pieces of molding to attach, I had not taken it in to be insured yet. Faith in human nature cost me ten grand. Sorry about the lenghty sob story, just trying to hit home on a point. And yes, grown men do cry!
