In Response To: kayak rack on a Taurus (garland reese)
I bought a demo bar from the local bicycle dealer for about half the price of a new bar. I really like Sarris racks (see the link below). I spent about $100 when I was done getting all the goodies I wanted or needed.
The rack is somewhat aerodynamic, and the accessories attach with 1/4" carriage bolts that slide in a grove. It is easy to add or change the system without any tools or taking the roof rack apart in order to use different components.
Plus for safety the system has a built in lock that not only locks the rack to your vehicle it also locks your components to your rack.
