I wouldn't go below $3000 even with major cosmetic blems. If it doesn't even float (like anyone would finish a boat that wouldn't float) it would still be worth a lot as art to hang over someone's mantle.

I told my insurance agent my Chesapeake was worth $1500, and my Guillemot is $4000. My homeowner's insurance covers them.. I think a person would probably need a supplemental rider to provide that much coverage under renter's insurance.
