Hi, I have installed feathercraft on plastic boats, the cables enter the deck 12 to 18 inches in front of the rudder and run inside the boat, through the bulkhead and into the cockpit, small cable clamps w/screws hold it in place, hope this helps, later rmd
: Hi, I just put one on my Tred Avon double, here is what the instructions from
: CLC said: Keep the cables in as straight of line as possible. They should
: enter the deck about 16" to 24" in front of the rudder (I'm
: guessing here but it should be close). Fasten the tubing that the cable
: goes through with cable clamps and screws. Put a clamp often enough to
: keep the tubing fairly straight (ie. one on top the deck where the tubing
: goes through, two or three on the shear clamp inside the hull. These
: little cable clamps and scres are also what to use to hold the rope for
: raising and lowering the rudder. Hope this helps. You could also see if
: CLC would send you the instructions they have. If you want more help from
: me, e-mail me.
: Later, Jim
