The Fisheye Mystery May be Solved;

I asked my glassing friend to stop by and look at my predicament. He looked at the pits and saw the nicely sanded epoxy at the bottom of the voids, and concluded it had to be contamination. He asked to see the containers I had used for mixing and rolling, and there, right in the center of the hardened roller tray cover was a large 1" or better fisheye. I mean it was huge, and it had developed overnight. A few smaller fisheyes had developed elsewhere. The darned Ace tray covers apparently had some kind of contamination on them, and I rolled it all over my deck. Also, the problem started right when I started using the new covers.

I learned a lot from everyone's advice, thank you for taking the time to educate me about contaminants and solvents. I'll change the way I do some things because of your insight and suggestions. This kayak was supposed to be a learning experience, now I learned to wash my tray covers thoroughly . . . ;-)
