I'm no fine woodworker and I know my saw is a little skewed (an import - the guideways aren't parallel!). I'm also cutting 1/16" strips. The offset fence technique worked for me.

It is just too unsafe to cut these little floppy guys with the fence square along the blade. So the fence was made wider just up to the front of the blade. That way no back blade grabbing, and narrow floppy pcs can be bent away from the back of the blade. This technique would work for you with narrow boards, but the inaccuracies that rehd referred to really creep in the more cuts you make. However w/ a feather board it works for wavy boards.
