: Mick, I've done it and it works, although a very light seal coat will significantly reduce the amount of epoxy the wood will take up, I found that a very light seal coat also made for a less hard hull. The glass that will go over it will be very hard but the plywood dents a little more easily than when I've used a generous wet-out and gentle squegee. Presealing the plywood does make it easier to protect the word from marring during construction. The amount of epoxy the glass takes up on pre-sealed wood is very little compared to a dry lay-up so I'd go with "sufficient sealing coat" whatever that is.
