: Been wanting a Beisemeyer fence myself, but, won't take it unless it comes
: with Delta Unisaw, 10", 3hp, 220v, 3belt pulleys and all the
: extensions. Oh yeh, and on a steel frame with solid 4" casters. :)
: Let me know if that works for you on the fence. I'm wondering, how did you
: get the Beisemeyer fence to lock down without pulling straight? I've used
: a couple in shops I've worked at and they are a pretty positive locking
: system. Very accurate.

: O.K., back to kayaks.......

Rehd, just checked in, been a busy 24 hours. That saw works for me. I guarantee you I don't have that set up. My saw is on wheels though. Does that count.

If I understand you question right, about locking down and pulling straight, there two adjustment screws in the T part of the fence that push up against a tension bar that is welded in the center and loose at the ends where the screws are. They dictate the cam preasure on the handle as well as left and right adjustment of the loose end of the fence. Hope that makes sense. Don't know what you use now for a fence but for $250 bucks for the Beisemeyer, its worth it in time saved. I'm able to keep the saw running and move the fence to my next cut. No tapping here and there to adjust the fence. Real positive and never changes. Just have to be aware of different blade thicknesses in relation to the hair line on the Biesemeyer. I'm constantly changing blades for different types of wood and cuts and there teeth are different widths.
