Nancy,

I found a small electric space heater does wonders for bringing up the temp in a garage or basement. I use it for building in the winter and I can keep my 1000 sq/ft basement/garage right around 65 degrees on all but the coldest days.

: My frustration level is truly rising. Here it is almost mid-June and aside
: from a short hot spell in June (when we had a house full of company), our
: average temps are not not topping 60. I have been told that my garage
: should be at least 65 to do any varnishing; otherwise, it would never set
: up. The garage will heat up some if I open up the door, but then I get
: little white fuzzies that fly in and attach to the varnish. Suggestions or
: clarifications on the temperature issue would be appreciated. Nancy
