My first kayak was a Pygmy Arctic Tern. Their instructions called for rolling the epoxy on with a foam roller and then squeegeeing to remove bubbles (I liked the foam roller approach so much I used it on kayak #2), Nick applies the epoxy with a paintbrush followed by squeegeeing. Most hardware stores carry 3-packs of 3 different sized squeegees made by Bondo that are intended for car body repair -- they work great for epoxy work because they're flexible. I tried a spackling-type plastic putty knife and it was too stiff.

: Dean, I'm new at this and need a little education.

: What do you use to squeegee? Do you make it or buy it? How big is it?

: Thanks.
