Hi Ronnie
Here are the details
With the inside of the deck facing up, cut your tape to the desired length. Heat up your glue gun, I used one of those small craft ones, only uses a 1/4" glue stick, has a trigger type advance gizmo. Starting at one end, apply a small drop of glue, 1/8" is fine, about 7/8" from the shearline ( for 2" tape). Press the edge of the tape down into the glue while it's still hot. TIP, wear 2 layers of gloves on the hand that you are pressing with for thermal protection. Move down about 6", pull the tape taut, glue and press, repeat until done on both sides. With help, carefully flip and position the deck on the hull ensuring that the tape remains inside and not pinned in the shearline seam. Tape and align the deck to the hull and apply a strip of that tape along the seam to keep the epoxy from all running out. Place the boat on edge and tip the end you'll start appling epoxy to down. Tape a paintbrush to a 5' rod at a small angle. If you didn't cut the hatches out yet, make the paintbrush extension long enough to reach the ends. Mix up a 2 or 3 oz epoxy batch. Starting at the hatch opening or cockpit opening, reach in as far as you can and pour about half of your epoxy on the tape, using the brush, start moving it down the seam towards the end. Move slow enough so you can monitor the wetout and add more epoxy as needed to get the wetout right to the end. once there is enough epoxy present to get to the end, start pouring/spreading the epoxy in the middle portion but leave the end tipped down for at least ten minutes to ensure maximum wetout at the end. Tip the other end down and repeat using 2 oz batches, also watch the other end for excess epoxy running back out of the 1st end. Carefully squegee this off, also watch for air bubble forming in the seam. Once the other end is also wetted out, wait ten minutes and trip that end back up so that the boat is level. Again watch for excess exopy and air bubbles. A few hours later, flip the boat to the other edge and repeat.
Hope that is clear enough, I'll get this on my new site as soon as I revamp it.
