I am planning on building my first wood-strip kayak this summer and am wondering what plans I should follow. Should I purchase plans from a kayak manufactuer? If so, what boat? I am 6'1", 170lbs, looking for a well handeling sea kayak. I was thinking of a 17 foot boat... what do you think? Any boats you reccomend?
