I am buiding a Chesapeake 17. I would like to finish it bright and have been reading varnishing tips for the past few months. I have not read anything much on people spraying the varnish. A friend of mine runs a high-end custom furniture shop. He has a spraying booth that is actually big enough to take my boat(!) and he has all the spraying equipment and a lot of experience with finishing. What have been your experiences with this method of application? Particulars I would be interested in include dilluting, number of coats, surface prep before initial spray and between coats etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
